we did it

The kids were troopers and let us run in the health Days race.  Joe did the 10K and I did the 5K!  Overall it was pretty fun, although next year I'll actually do some running before the race!

why I love thumbsuckers

Sometimes I wish my kids had taken pacifiers longer.  They all did at first, but somehow they slowly migrated to the thumb.  Mostly due to sickness.  I'm not looking forward to trying to wean Grayson from his thumb, but in the meantime I get to enjoy some nice cuddling!

And here is a random one of Abigail, she came up and told me that she was ready for the doctors.

very belated post

So Lily's birthday is Friday so I figured I'd better get Grayson's birthday up :)  Three kids is keeping me busy ... Grayson is getting his molars, Lily is getting her front teeth, and Abigail is .... Abigail.  We are having fun, but not getting enough sleep! Oh well!

Joe decided to stay home from work on Grayson's birthday and we scattered his presents throughout the day. Best idea!  He loved his pool full of balloons, and his McQueen chair. And Buzz. And his car track. Basically everything was a success!  I made his birthday cake, and was pretty pleased with how it turned out.  Here's a bit about Grayson:

-loves CARS.  He knows where all the McQueen cars are at our house, and our neighbors.  And he has to have them all.

-loves breakfast and dinner.  Lunchtime is hit and miss due to naps.

-loves "bottle & sleep" (meaning nap time or bedtime) and has to have a certain blanket

-loves to push Lily, and pat her head

-loves to be tickled.  Seriously, he will ask me to tickle him.

-counts to ten

-has the cutest look where he puts his head down and looks at you through his lashes

Easter Sunday

We had a fabulous Easter weekend!  My parents came up Saturday and spent some time with us and then Joe's family came up Sunday for dinner and an early birthday for Grayson.  I made skirts for the girls (that will be used for a wedding in a couple of weeks) and I thought Grayson looked great in his bowtie!

After church we did a little egg hunt out back, which Abigail thought was fun!  Grayson tried to eat the candy through the wrapper, and Lily tried to fit a whole egg in her mouth!

For dessert we did Angel food cake with strawberries and whipped cream, and Grayson decided to eat the whipped cream by itself!
