cousin sleepover
We watched our Van Ausdal cousins for a couple days, and the kids had a BLAST! It was a little stressful having 5 kids 4 & under, but overall they all did really well. They loved making a tower (aka a birthday present for Cole), jumping onto the bean bags, watching a movie and eating popcorn & apples, and taking a bath in the big tub!

Cache County Fair & Rodeo
We decided to attempt a rodeo with the kids, and it was a blast! They picked up some fans at the fair beforehand and were very excited to show them off. They loved watching the horses racing around, and the bucking bulls. But the wait in between wasn't as fun ...
down to one!
We are now officially down to one kid in diapers!! For the longest time Grayson REFUSED to even try to sit on the potty, and would even cry if we mentioned it. Then one day he woke up, and he did it. We pulled out the little potty and away he went. Abigail was a great help, too. One time he sat on it for 45 minutes before pooping. He was very proud, though. He was scared of the big potty until he saw a friend use it, and as a reward he got a new Baymax. Which he loved!
cousin time
We got a chance to visit with our Pope cousins on their cross country move to Connecticut. Lizzy was the best helper - she loved playing with all the little kids. All the kids did, really. It was fun to watch Ross & Justin play chess, those kids are pretty good!
Bert & Ernie
My Mom made these costumes when we were little kids and has kept them. Abigail & Grayson thought they were pretty cool!

Abigail-isms
Where do I begin with this girl, she is hilarious!! She picks up on a lot of things, but then confuses them. For instance - I was doing piano lessons at someone's house and my friend told Abigail her son was sick, that he had a bug. Later that day I saw Abigail doing this:
She felt her baby's forehead, made the baby cry, then fed her a bottle. She said her baby was sad, and sick. The baby had a bug - a lot of flies and bees. Hahahaha!!
Next one - she was picking out all the seeds and lining them up. I told her she could eat them, and she told me she was saving them so she could plant them in the garden.

the marathon
Although I think they are slightly crazy, Ben and Joe decided to run a marathon. So they woke up bright and early (they had to be there at 3 am), and finished around 10:00 taking them about 5 hours to do it. I am so proud of him and all his hard work! And then we put sod in the next day ...
Chambers family - Bear Lake
The next day we headed north to Bear Lake! The day started out beautiful - nice & sunny, then the afternoon brought rain. But we partied hard while the sun was out! Lily was adventurous - she would head out into the water whenever it suited her. The other kids had a great time, they loved riding in the canoe, playing in the sand, and collecting sea shells.
Chambers family - zoo
Back at the end of July, Ben & Kaleb came up for a visit from Colorado. We decided to take the kids to the Zoo, which they enjoyed! The loved looking at the animals, playing in the water park, and riding the train. Also, the bird show was AWESOME! Turns out the person in charge went to high school with me - random!
