Christmas!

We had an excellent Christmas, probably my favorite to date! We stayed up here for the weekend, and it was nice! Christmas Eve Joe read the Christmas story from the Bible and used our block nativity to act it out - the kids loved it!  We gave them their Christmas jammies, and off to bed they went.

Lily did not sleep well, and woke up at 6. Then Grayson followed. They were excited about presents, but I told them we had to wait for Abigail. Finally, at 7, she woke up and we started opening. The first one for Abigail was a hit - her guitar (that's really a ukulele)!

The kids all got Paw Patrol toys (that they got for each other), and Octonaut toys that were also a big hit! We got them watches, which they all asked for, but they got pushed to the side :) Joe and I got each other nice warm coats, perfect timing for our cold weather!

Snow Princess

Lily.  Oh she loves snow!  It is so fun to watch her walk in snow that is up to her knees. And then she eat it. And eats it. She'll just lay on her tummy and put her face in the snow!  These are some of my favorite pictures of her :)

 

 

Snow day!!!

Our kids love snow.  They are wanting to go out first thing in the morning!  Saturday night and Sunday of this week is snowed a ton, and after church we went out and built some snowmen! (total of 5).

 That night we got to meet up with some of our favorite people - the Sanders! We have missed them so much since moving to River Heights :)

We got to watch the last 5 minutes or so of dance while they did their Christmas dance, and it was so fun to watch her!  She is often in her little world, blowing spit bubbles (don't know where that came from), and occasionally following her teacher!

Gingerbread Houses

Our second annual gingerbread house decorating party!  The kids were excited, although Lily just wanted to eat the M&M's. And spit out gumballs. And make a mess. But it was still fun! Abigail didn't want to put the candy on it (it was too messy) so Joe helped decorate it!

 

Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving this year was at Justin's house - and it was a blast!  I didn't take any pictures of the food, which was delicious, but caught some of our morning activities - pin the hat on the turkey.  It was hilarious to watch!

SNOW!!

On the 11th of November we got our first major snow storm, and the kids were so excited! It started snowing the night before, but we only got a couple inches. The kids begged to go outside and so at 8:30 a.m. we got our snow gear on and went out to play!  They had a blast - Lily eating snow, and Grayson and Abigail playing and having a snowball fight.
