Our neighbors invited us up for a day at the Lake - we ended up sharing some Jet Skis and it was AWESOME! It was my first time on them and I loved every second. Abigail went with me once, but got scared pretty quick. Lily went with me another time and had a blast! We didn't take a lot of pictures because we were out on the lake, but it was one of my all time favorite trips.
Lily was Godzilla - she found a castle and just destroyed it! Stomped on it, threw it everywhere, but had a blast doing it.

It happened one day
Abigail has been begging to let us take her training wheels off, saying she was ready. I put it off, and one day Joe took them off and away she went! She still has a hard time starting, but once she goes she's off!
the Zoo
The kids kept asking to go see some animals, so we headed to Willow Park Zoo one morning. It may not be the most exciting zoo, but the kids had fun! They loved the turtles, the big kitty (aka bobcat) that all the kids wanted to pet, and the reindeer! Abigail kept asking me to take lots of pictures for her books, so I made sure to get as many as I could!
Bear Lake
Our first trip to Bear Lake this summer was with the Chambers - we were lucky to have Kaleb and Ben with us! The kids had a blast of course - Abigail collecting seashells, Lily riding Nemo, and Grayson just played and played in the sand. We were in heaven!
Happy Fourth of July!!
We spent the weekend of the fourth with family in Davis County. Saturday was filled with water fun, and ended with sparklers and an AWESOME firework show!
The fourth we woke up early, and ran the Centerville 5K. It was so fun! I ran with Megan, Lincoln and Auntie Diane! Diane placed third in her age group - way to go!
We went to the park after the parade and they kids got to go through some inflatable toys, and Abigail got to climb up the rock wall. She was pretty excited!

the bug
Oh Lily. She has been the hardest child for us. Part of it is she is still talking "gibberish" sometimes, and we can't understand what she wants. It's a lot better than it used to be, but there are times we just shake our head and wonder what she's saying. She knows how to push buttons - particularly Grayson's - but she is quick to say sorry. She is always asking if someone could be "me friend". It's a big deal to have friends! We are trying to teach her that people want to play with happy, nice people. Sometimes it works.
She loves imagination. She'll play with barbies/dolls for a long time while they talk, cook, and everything else. She loves reading stories, cuddling, and watching anything on TV. This year we pulled out the little bike, and after a couple tries she figured out how to stop and start and has taken off!
Cuddle time is probably my favorite. She'll wake up early from a nap, and just want to sit with me and go back to sleep.

Family
My sister has been in town off and on from Connecticut this summer, and we have had lots of fun! This particular day we went to see Finding Dory. I love how no one wanted to hold my hand, it's all about the cousins! We are grateful to older cousins who help the younger kids!
I want a kitty!
Abigail's friend got a kitty, and ever since Abigail has been begging for one! We got a quick reprieve when the kitty scratched her bad, but then Abigail said she wanted a dog. Now it's back to a cat. She even promised she'd clean everything up! I told her she can't even keep her room clean, how would she clean up after a cat? So a day later she had friends over and wouldn't let them play with her toys because she had to keep her room clean to earn a cat. Ha!
splash pad
For some reason my kids haven't been the biggest fans of splash pads - they'd play for a little bit, then they'd be done. This year was different - SO much fun! It helped that there were lots of kids there! Lily was the only hesitant one, and would only go in if I was holding her. We love our summertime play!
I turned around from helping Lily with something, and found Abigail halfway across the monkey bars! So proud of her!
