Santa

We heard last minute that Freckle Farm was going to have Santa come visit, and it was free, so we ran up there and it was perfect!!  No line, and seriously the best Santa ever! He would ask the kids questions, and even made Star Wars noises to try to convince Grayson he wasn't scary.  Grayson would only give him a high-five, but the girls ran up and sat on his lap the whole time!

stockings

It only took me 4 years to get around to it, but I finally made Grayson's and Lily's stockings! And all by myself :) My machine is a little dated, and I ended up having to borrow a neighbor's to do the stitching around the reindeer and star, and the name.  But I'm pretty happy with how they turned out!

photo booth

At our ward party they had a little photo booth with props, with the kids LOVED. Until I told them they couldn't keep the props!

Thanksgiving Day

I REALLY wish I had gotten more pictures of the day.  It was my first time hosting, and cooking most of the food. I was pretty nervous, but it all turned out pretty well! We got some new Nerf guns and had a turkey (balloon) shoot, which the kids & adults loved!

The turkey.  The best turkey I've probably ever had, although it took about 40 minutes longer to cook because even though it had been thawing since Sunday, the middle was still frozen! But it was well worth the wait!
We played another game after dinner, and it is one of the funniest games we've ever played.  We cried because it was so funny, and drooled because talking without being able to close your mouth is hard!
This year I'm especially thankful for my family - I have been blessed with a patient, loving husband and some pretty good kids!

tacos & teeth

The kids loved to be rolled up, like "tacos"!

This girl and her teeth!!  She is an expert wiggler, and loosens her teeth up really fast. Someone at school taught her to twist her teeth, so one night I watched her twist it for a few minutes and then POP! Out came her other top tooth! She was VERY excited, we had to call Daddy who was busy at work.

Grandparents are the best

Abigail had Grandparent day at school, and my parents came up along with Toni! What a fun day - it's always fun when the grandparents come!

Turkey Trot

On the 19th of November Joe and I ran the 10K Turkey Trot up in Smithfield!  I was very excited about it, although a bit nervous since it was my first 10K.  I've been running all summer, so I was pretty sure I could do it. Joe ran three times before this, and still mostly kept up with me. He actually pushed me, I ran faster than I do by myself.  There was a pretty steep incline for one part, which Joe struggled with a lot and ended up walking while I ran up it and finished it.  I ended up finishing just over 55 minutes, and took 3rd in my age group! Out of 8 women. Joe finished 1st in his group, 45 seconds after me. It was a lot of fun!

SNOW!!

November 17th brought about our first round of snow!  To say the kids were excited would be a gross understatement!  They were out and playing in it by 7:30/8:00!

need entertainment? watch your kids play the wii fit!

Abigail was very excited that she spelled her whole name!

just how many kids can you fit on a trampoline? Also, Grayson is the only boy in that group!

socks & flip flops

I tried to tell Abigail that you don't combine flip flops and socks, but she wanted to do it anyway!

Beautiful fall day

How the kids would ride "double"! They'd hook the front of the wiggle car onto the bucket of the tricycle and away they went!  And I LOVE how red my trees turn!

Once

I LOVE Broadway musicals, one of my favorite things to go to for fun.  When I heard the Broadway tour of Once was coming by Logan for one night, I knew we had to go!  Joe was a good sport and skipped mutual so we could go see the show.  It was awesome!  They all played their own instruments, sang and danced!

this girl LOVES my shoes. One day she wore 4 different pairs!

Christmas decorations!

a little mario
it takes very little to keep this kid happy (also notice the red toenails!)

Two days in a row Abigail came home having pulled out a tooth!  Apparently a girl at school showed her how to twist her teeth out until they come out! She was very excited!
