Well, there's a simple tour of our new place. We're loving it! Other new things - we planted a garden which I really enjoy watching it grow. I'm sure many of you have been experiencing crazy weather. We've had a lot of hail, and one Tuesday it felt like we were experiencing a monsoon. The grass was covered with hail, and the streets were like rivers. Here is a picture Joe took of some lightening.

A Long Overdue Post
The slacker Chambers have decided to post at last! I am sorry for all of those faithful readers who check in and have found nothing the past while. The reason for a lack of posts is partly due to the fact that we moved to Smithfield and just got internet a week and a half ago. So ... that's my story and I'm sticking to it (song anyone?)! As some of you may know, Joe & I broke down and bought a townhouse in April. Hoorah! We were very sad to leave all our friends behind, but Smithfield really isn't that far away! Many have asked for pictures of our new place, so here they are. And just for fun, I'll post some pictures of our old place:
The old kitchen was nice. I liked the appliances, but no dishwasher.
I love my new kitchen. The island is huge! And yes, there is a dishwasher.
We called (affectionately) our basement the cave, which I think is a fair description. Don't you just LOVE the colors? It was nice & big and we had lots of good times!
Living area right of the kitchen, the floors are super nice and we love our new furniture.
This is the painting that 'came' with the furniture. The painting looks different each time I really look at it.
Ahh...the bathroom. I went a long time with no bathtub. Now I have two! Pink counters, pink shower, and ...
yes, a pink toilet. I think it's a sweet toilet.
Guest bathroom, practically identical to master bathroom. Check out the door - not the standard door, which I like.

Well, Joe & I are off to Arkansas and Tennessee so stay tuned ...

We are still alive...
...in case anyone was wondering. We don't have internet anymore, so all the internet surfing I do is during work. So I try not to do to much surfing! Question for all you expert bloggers - how do you make a video/slideshow of pictures?
We will hopefully have internet access soon, and update more often!

Zion & its Opposite
The first weekend in April Joe & I were able to go to St. George and enjoy a relaxing weekend with Ben (Joe's brother) & Stephanie. The weather was a definite improvement over Logan, which wasn't hard since it had been snowing every morning. Friday it was fairly windy and looked like it was going to rain so we decided to go to Las Vegas. It was pretty windy down there, but not as much rain. We walked around for 10 hours before we all admitted we were beat, and then we headed back to St. George. I had huge blisters on every one of my toes, and was very happy to be done! The next day we went to Zion National Park, quite the peaceful opposite of Las Vegas. It was chilly but beautiful! here are a few pictures:
There is a $100 fine for feeding the animals, but judging on the friendliness of this squirrel I bet they still get fed! All the squirrles would come up, and give a "begging" look!

Car ride to Vegas. Joe timed the camera to take a picture, but didn't get him in it!
In front of the Bellagio waiting for the water show to start. But they canceled it do to the winds! I was very sad.
It took Joe & I a few minutes to realize that we weren't outside shopping when we saw the ceiling!
Las Vegas at night was beautiful & ugly at the same time. The lights & buildings are all unique and pretty, but there were a lot of people who were drunk/drinking, smoking, and trying to give you cards. Overall, it was a very fun trip!
