Abigail post

This little girl is hilarious - she is talking more in sentences, and understanding things better. She will put her own dirty clothes away, and throws away trash.  Although today I asked her to throw a dryer sheet away (Grayson loves to eat them), and she threw it under the bed. Hmmmm.  She is starting to play more with Grayson, but doesn't understand the concept of sharing.  When she was sick with ear infections, she would just lay on the couch and watch movies. So sad. She LOVES Toy Story. Her Woody plush doll almost never leaves her side. She likes to sing Woody's Roundup (she can name the song), and You've Got a Friend in Me. Her last canine is about to poke through, and her molars will come next.

My sister-in-law gave me the next size of clothes for Grayson, and Abigail decided to try them on.  She also decided to empty the bin after I folded them all. Oh well.
A Van Ausdal trait. She likes to line up things, and would do it several times.
She is a serious girl sometimes. We went to a gymnastics meet (right at her bedtime) and she sat on our lap, and almost went to sleep. But isn't she beautiful???  Seriously, can't get over how pretty she is.
deja vu.  I had to laugh at Abigail and how she plays with the laundry basket. She also enjoyed doing the same thing when she was little!

baby Abigail!!

new year

We started out our year with excitement; we had to lower the crib mattress and stick up our baby gate. Grayson is on the MOVE - watch out!!

We also started off with a bit of sickness.  Poor Grayson wouldn't let go of me - just cuddled with me all day and sucked on his binky. I liked the closeness, but felt bad he didn't feel good!
A bit of silliness is part of our daily schedule :). We can always use a good laugh.  Grayson and Abigail both love to kick - especially in the tub.  Grayson was kicking this time, and Abigail joined him on the floor and they laughed for a couple of minutes.
Abigail LOVES to read. She enjoys Curious George, but LOVES I Broke My Trunk by Mo Willems. She enjoys reading over the heater vent on cold mornings.
And last, but not least, we found out we are going to be joined by a LITTLE GIRL in May.  She was definitely a surprise, but we are pretty excited.  Poor little Grayson is going to be sandwiched in between two girls :)

the toy that saved Christmas

We had a blast this Christmas, and I expect they are going to keep getting better and better. Abigail had a hard time getting into the whole presents thing (teething, lack of sleep), but as soon as she opened this gift she was so happy you couldn't hold back the joy.

This girl LOVES Toy Story.  Uncle Brian got her a plush Woody (she sleeps with him every night), and a talking Jessie doll.  They hardly left her side.  I think her other gifts were pretty good, but this was the best by her standard.  Thanks Brian!
Love my family.  I love holidays - just a reminder that it is important to spend time together.  Talking and laughing was just as good as the presents!
This little guy has grown so much in the past week. He can sit all by himself, crawl, push himself to sitting, and pulls himself up on furniture.  And falls, a lot.  Poor little guy gets a lot of bonks, but he is EVERYWHERE!!

Abigail wasn't sure sure what she thought about the snow, but we still had some fun!

My parents with all the grand kids, minus two on the way. We only get together about twice a year with everyone, so it was fun to see how much they all had changed.
We went and saw the lights at Temple Square with the Chambers and it was COLD, but beautiful. Abigail enjoyed looking at the lights for a little bit, but it got a bit too chilly.

We took a day break and came back home and I took the kids sledding with a neighbor.  Abigail loved it, and kept asking to go again. Grayson, well, he just looked so darn cute! We hope you all had a Merry Christmas!
