JOE DID IT ....

Joe has been working hard to get into the MBA program at Utah State, and we found out Monday that he got accepted. YAY!!! He'll start classes the last weekend of January. The classes are Friday nights & Saturday mornings, so I am going to be a little lonely. Oh well. I am very proud of him, and excited that he is starting grad school.

Book thought

I just started reading Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier, and stumbled upon this thought -

"Happiness is not a possession to be prized, it is a quality of thought, a state of mind."

I really liked this thought, because it is something that Joe has to remind me and it is very true. I can choose whether or not to be happy, and how I let things influence me. Just a thought.

Nothing too exciting is happening at the Chambers house. I LOVE listening to Christmas music, especially Josh Groban. I made the mistake of telling Joe I think Josh Groban's voice is dreamy, and now he sings in his "Josh Groban" voice which makes me laugh.

I probably won't post anything before Christmas, so I hope everyone has a great holiday!

ESPN

This will be quick. Joe & I went to the USU vs BSU football game. It was fun, for the first quarter or so. We were two rows behind a guy dressed up as a bunny, and ended up being shown on ESPN. I was pretty stoked! We were on ESPN!!! For those who do not know - I LOVE football. People at work (I work with mostly guys) are amazed at how much I know about football. It's just a hobby. I called to let my parents know where we were sitting, and my dad DVR'd it and saw Joe & I at least twice. Sweet.

One thing that amuses me during football is the banter between opposing teams. We were sitting next to two Boise State fans, and people loved ripping into them. It amused me to listen to the things they come up with to taunt each other. Unfortunately it did result in a fight in our section, with fists being thrown. But luckily it dissipated and the drunken fans left.

One thing that I hate about sports is when people boo the opposing team. These people are athletes, doing what they love to do. I believe they deserve respect and be shown appreciation. But that's just me.

I hope y'all have a Happy Thanksgiving!
