Just a little somethin'

It has been so fun to watch our garden grow this summer. With changing to five gallon buckets, our tomato plants have definitely gotten bigger than last year. We're already seeing cute little tomatoes. I have a feeling they're all going to come on at once, and we'll be overwhelmed with tomatoes. Then it's time for the salsa! Yum!

My mother-in-law and sister-in-law came up last weekend and we went to a bunch of different yard sales. I haven't really done much with yard sales before, but it was fun. We have been looking for a dresser for the baby's room (still no luck), but stumbled upon this kitchen table by chance, which I LOVE! It is nice to have a sturdy table.

We have been in our house well over a year, but finally got pictures to put up downstairs. We took pictures from around Cache Valley (Old Main, barn w/"Women's Tonic" on it, and the temple), got them canvas wrapped, and Joe hung them up today. It is nice to have pictures up that represent us. We love Cache Valley!

Isn't it sad ...

... that I wish the weather were more like this?

Yes, I know, summer has just begun. But already I'm hot and a little bit miserable. It really hasn't been too bad, but I'm not looking forward to the rest of it. All I can say is that I'm grateful for AC in our house (when it chooses to work), and that we have at least one car that has AC that works. There are things I'm looking forward to this summer - hopefully some trips up to Bear Lake, being with family over the holidays, fresh veggies, and snow cones.

Over the weekend we were able to go with my parents to see Toy Story 3. I think it is my favorite movie so far of the year. I loved all the quips relating to past movies, and I loved Barbie & Ken. The scene where Ken models all his clothes cracked me up. The end made some people tear up (not just me), and I think it's a must see for everyone!!

And we finally got new phones!! Yipee!! My old phone had the annoying habit of hanging up on people in the middle of conversations (the record is probably 7 times while talking to my mom), and the battery in Joe's phone lasted no longer than a day. The picture shown below is my phone, and I really like it. So far. :)

My parents have a really nice garden, and they are very generous in giving of what they have. Their peas just came on a couple of weeks ago, and they gave some to us when we were down over the weekend. We ended up eating them all in the car ride back up to Cache Valley, they were soooo good! There's nothing like fresh peas from the garden. And tomatoes. And corn. And peppers. And zucchini. And cucumbers. Etc. Etc. Etc. Thanks Mom & Dad!

A Pregnancy Post ...

I thought I'd use that title so any males reading our blog are forewarned - this is a post about pregnancy, albeit a short one. This morning I woke up at 2 a.m. and discovered our little girl having a party. She's normally pretty quiet during the day, but at night time - she comes alive! It's been fun feeling her move. Joe discovered yesterday that she responds when you push her, and it made us both laugh. That's our discovery of the week. Also, we haven't bought an infant carrier/stroller combo yet - any suggestions, recommendations?
