perfect fall Saturday

This past Saturday was PERFECT weather wise!! Clear blue skies and warm!! And ... Joe is FINISHED with school!!!!  We are both very excited, and can't wait to see what happens next in our lives. For the moment, we're happy where we are at.  We celebrated by going to the Heritage Center with some friends and carving pumpkins.

Abigail wasn't quite sure what to think of the straw, but quickly found it was pretty fun to play with. She loved rubbing her feet in it and throwing it up in the air.

Best buds.

While we were waiting for the train, Joe tried to get Abigail to touch the cute little goat. She briefly did once, after much coaxing.
She loved the train, except for when we went in a tunnel. She hates being enclosed - slides, playground, etc. So she held on pretty tight to me.
Our successful carvings!!We started carving a couple of years ago, and it's a yearly thing now!
mine - can you tell what it is? Mike Wazowski. I didn't carve it big enough, so it was hard to tell.
Joe's scary clown!! He always does such an excellent job carving!

uncle time!

My brother Brian came up on Monday, and we had a great day! We especially enjoy getting visitors - it doesn't happen too often! We enjoyed playing Wii (Abigail didn't enjoy my frustrated noises, and excited cheers), eating delicious food at a Brazilian grill, and taking pictures of Abigail. She didn't cooperate as much as I would have liked but Brian got some good ones!

A few things about Abigail: she's tiny, she's walking EVERYWHERE!!!, she's eating solids better, she is slowly graduating to milk, she is mostly a mommy's girl, she still wakes up once at night, she loves to pull on her hair, she loves playing with noses and ears, and she's the joy of our life!
