Kindergarten!!

At the end of August Lily finally started Kindergarten. She was SO excited!  She loves her teacher, Ms. Jelke, and loves learning and playing with friends.

I decided this year would be the year I ran a half marathon.  I decided pretty early, and trained hard. I was ready a little too soon, but I had another month until race day!  I kept running, not as hard, but felt pretty good when race day came.  I'd had a stomach bug for 3 days and was a little worried about the race.  The first 7 miles are down Black Smith Fork Canyon were pretty quick, and my stomach wasn't happy but I pushed through. The pace was a lot quicker than I thought but I kept it up (8:30 min/mile or so).  About mile 10 I was just done ... but I kept pushing, and finished at 1:55!  These girls from the neighborhood ran it too - Des Sandgren, Audrey Mann and Courtney Housely.
