We have a very fun tradition in my family. The birthday you turn your birthdate (I was born on the 26th, so the year I turn 26) you get that number of presents. Last Thursday happened to be my turn, and I was very excited to go down to SLC and open my 26 presents from my parents! I have been waiting for a while! My mom got very creative, and I had a lot of fun opening gifts. My mom also made a very delicious soup & dessert! Thank you, Mom!!
It was fun to see the things my mom came up with, some of which I asked for. Like a bag to wash nylons and stuff in, cleaning gloves, chap stick, etc. She had some good surprises in there too like earrings, socks, dish towels, food tray, sleepers for baby boy, cereal, and hair clips for Abigail! It was the one time I didn't mind the attention being on me :)
My favorite gift is the hat my mom made for Abigail, a better picture found
here. I loved it, and Abigail didn't want to leave it on. Luckily it will fit her for a while, and she had better get used to wearing it!
Abigail wasn't really interested in opening the gifts with me, but would sit on my lap and play with the wrapping paper.
Thank you, Mom, for an awesome birthday!! I really enjoyed opening my 26 presents, and everything you did for me. And thank you Dad for putting up with Abigail and me at 5:00 in the morning.

Sounds like a fun "golden" birthday! I love the idea of getting the number of presents as the day you were born.
